Nuts About Muts is all about offering positive and effective dog training to owners of any type or breed of dog who would like to resolve a particular issue with their dogs behaviour or just train a new puppy in the basic skills required to live happily within your home environment.

I offer clicker and reward based training on a one-to-one basis. If you feel that a class is not right for you or your dog, then why not let the class come to you?

 I offer a four week training course for one hour a week, in your own home, at your own pace. We cover everything that you would do in a class, such as Coming when called, leave-its, sits, downs, stays, loose lead walking but the beauty of this course is we also cover anything else you may be having problems with, such as jumping up at people, rushing to the door. You just let me know what you want to cover and we do it - simple as that. The 4 week intensive course is £100 and if you pay for all four sessions in advance its just £90. 

I do not use or recommend any form of negative dog training equipment such as Shock Collars (as research has shown that these can actually elict aggression in some cases) I do not use Choke Chains or anything else that may cause fear or pain to your dog. The only equipment you need to start with is a flat collar, a lead and some yummy rewards. I supply the clicker, training factsheets and demonstrations for you to learn and utilise to be able to continue to train your dog. The methods are based on praise, reward's, setting boundaries and consistancy. After all, your dog is a member of your family and as such needs to be treated with respect and kindness to bring out the best in them.

I also make it my obligation to continue to learn and study in my chosen field so that you have the most up to date information and techniques available.
